Shark Attack Shot Recipe

Shark attack shots are called that because the grenadine looks like blood in the greenish-blue water. The grenadine looks like blood in the water. The shot gets a lot of laughs at parties, but it’s delicious and very attractive. The best way to serve this shot is to do so quickly since you want the shot to have a blood-like effect. This drink has been enhanced by the use of Grenadine, nonalcoholic pomegranate syrup to balance out the alcohol. When poured, the drink sinks to the bottom of the glass and then slowly rises to the top, just like a sunrise. 

This cocktail mixes tequila, blue curaçao, lemon-lime soda, grenadine, and cherry vodka. On a side note, this is a nice variation on all those bomb shot recipes you see out there.

• Tequila made with whatever you have on hand is the best to use for a shot. Choosing a tequila that you actually enjoy is not necessary, but you want to pour something that you don’t feel embarrassed about drinking.

Shot Ingredients (ML/OZ)

• 15 ml grenadine
• 15 ml cherry vodka
• 30 ml tequila
• splash of Blue Curacao
• 90 ml lemon lime soda

Steps to Make Shark Attack Shot Recipe

• Pour cherry vodka and grenadine in a shot glass, mix it well.
• Place a pint glass over the shot glass while holding it up, the edge of the shot glass should be sealed against the bottom of the pint glass. Flipped the two glass over and rest the shot glass in place.
• Combine tequila, blue curaçao, and lemon lime soda in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
• Strain the mixture in the pint glass with the shot glass inside with the cherry vodka and grenadine inside.
• Remove the shot glass and shoot the contents in the pint glass before serving. Enjoy.
